The Fugitive

He longed to be a fugitive
for what he'd done

pay the price
with his life

not with money
like the rich

he sought his crime
with wonder

like ants
drag down the sugar

and birds
lust after words

he dreamed of being on the run
while walking

but he was only guilty
of being innocent

A Poem By Guillaume Apollinaire (1880-1918)

Chapeau Tombeau

He spread his smut
In America
This little or-
nithological butt

But
Enough of this
I'll just take a piss

Seems to me he's talking
about Trump
