were left on the ship

to the surface of Mars,
and andale pronto.

The Council had decided
that dynamite

was their only form
of defense.

No one was sure
that it would work at all,

but that was their only hope.
Rey told anyone who would listen

that he did not think
the Martian would leave

the safety of its sanctuary.
