Like Two Ships In The Night

first time we met
we kissed on that college parking lot

it was love at first sight
and then we parted

lost each other
found each other

denied each other
dreamt those separate but equal dreams

where like two ships in the night
we collide over and over again

the sea of love
churning and foaming

and gathering strength
against our hulls

I think this is lovely. If I could offer one suggestion - change 'and like two ships in the night' to 'where like two ships in the night' and see what you think.
