The Other Mexican Revolution

Henry muttered his Mexican Revolution
from inside a piñata.
His woman was all for him,

her fish eyes wagging that sweet smile.
But, you must know, she secretly told herself,
a Mexican can’t govern caca.

She was, of course, very clairvoyant,
even though she couldn’t see the future---
looking at the past

only prepares you for the same mistakes.
Henry had all this big plans for the country
but they amounted to nothing.

“My fellow Mexicans, look upon what greatness
I have created, and be amazed!”
yelled Henry Ozymandias.
