I’m watching
Dubya on TV
talking

about how
our country
is so

much safer now
than it was
before 911

and I
see the
buildings

fall to
the ground again.
The cloud

of dust
has not
yet settled.

We head
into the future
with this cloud

around
our heads.
We think

we’re safer
because we can’t see
where we’re going,

or what’s
coming
at us.
